1. Preparation: Machine the workpiece to core diameter, apply a 30–45° chamfer, and clamp securely.
2. Alignment: Place the die flat and centered in the holder, with the cutting side facing forward.
3. Cutting: Apply cutting oil; turn approx. one full rotation forward and ¼ back to break chips; maintain a perpendicular position.
4. Finishing: Cut to the desired thread length, reverse the die, and remove chips.
5. Inspection: Check with a matching BSF nut or gauge; clean the thread surface.
