1. Preparation: Cut the new thread according to specification and clean it thoroughly (remove chips, oil and dirt).
2. Screw on the insert: Screw the V-COIL thread insert No. 18 onto the tool until the tang is properly seated in the tang slot.
3. Set the adjustable ring: Adjust the ring to define your installation depth.
4. Align correctly: Position the tool straight at the thread entrance.
5. Wind in the insert: Apply light downward pressure and rotate the tool clockwise to install the insert.
6. Remove the tool: Once the correct depth is reached, pull the tool off — the insert is seated securely.
