Step-by-Step Instructions

Analyze the thread:
Inspect the damaged internal thread and determine the exact thread size and pitch. Select the appropriate thread insert and corresponding tools. -
Prepare the core hole:
Drill out the damaged thread using the specified STI drill size. Clean the bore thoroughly to ensure precise further processing. -
Cut the STI receiving thread:
Use the appropriate STI tap (Form D, HSS-G) to cut the receiving thread. Ensure a straight alignment and controlled, even operation. -
Install the thread insert:
Screw in the insert using the matching hand installation tool with locking ring. The insert should be positioned slightly below the surface. -
Remove the tang:
After installation, remove the tang using the correct tang break tool. This clears the thread for unrestricted use. -
Final inspection:
Clean the thread and check it with a suitable screw. The repaired thread is immediately ready for full load.
