What is the difference between the BLUE RING and the GREEN RING?

Is this set suitable for all stainless steels?

The set is suitable for short-chipping stainless steels. For long-chipping or particularly difficult stainless steels (e.g., V2A/V4A), specialized taps with a different geometry (e.g., spiral flute) and a special coating may deliver even better results.

Can I also use these taps on softer steels?

Yes, this is easily possible. The BLUE RING taps can also be used for softer steels. However, their high-performance capacity is best utilized on the harder, tougher materials for which they were designed.
