Goal: a new world record for student rockets

A partnership for the future

At VÖLKEL, quality, precision and progress have always been at the heart of what we do. These values connect us with HyEnD (Hybrid Engine Development), the student rocket project at the University of Stuttgart. We support the ambitious young scientists with high-quality threading tools and our technical know-how – for a future full of innovation.

⚙️

High-precision threading tools

Our specialised tools are used in critical threading applications – in structural components and engine parts that place the highest demands on load capacity and precision.

🔩

V-COIL Thread Insert System

Our proven system is used to reinforce threads in softer materials and ensures maximum durability and safety – essential under extreme loads.

🎓

Supporting young talent

We see it as part of our responsibility to give young talents access to reliable tools and to actively support research.

Project N₂ORTH 3 – On the way to the world record

A particular highlight of our cooperation: with a purpose-built rocket, the HyEnD team aims to reach an altitude of up to 100 kilometres – which would be a new world record for student rockets. The rocket launch is planned for Q1 2026.
