Thread plug gauges for metric coarse thread
The metric coarse thread is the standard thread in German-speaking countries and across much of Europe. Nominal diameter and pitch are given in millimetres, and the flank angle is 60°. A plug gauge checks an internal thread. The go side must screw in, the no-go side must not — which settles the question in seconds, without a caliper and without arithmetic.
