Thread ring gauges for metric coarse thread
The metric coarse thread is the standard thread in German-speaking countries and across much of Europe. Nominal diameter and pitch are given in millimetres, and the flank angle is 60°. A ring gauge checks an external thread on the same principle as a plug gauge checks an internal one: the go ring must run on, the no-go ring must not.
