UNC (Unified coarse)

V-COIL thread inserts for UNC, Unified coarse thread

UNC is the standard series for screws and nuts in the USA and Canada. Nominal diameters are given in inches and as gauge numbers, the pitch as threads per inch. A thread insert restores a stripped thread and can give it a load capacity above that of the original. The stainless steel wire coil is screwed into the hole after it has been drilled out and re-tapped with the STI tool.
