Thread forming taps for tolerance class 6H
6H is the standard tolerance for internal threads. Where nothing else is stated, this is the class meant. A thread former does not cut — it presses the thread into the wall of the core hole without chips. Nothing is left in a blind hole that could jam later, and the grain structure is compacted.
