Hand taps for PG, steel conduit thread
PG is the thread for cable glands and conduits in electrical installation. It is shallower than a metric thread so that it still carries in thin-walled sleeves. Hand taps are turned by hand in a tap wrench. The thread is cut in several passes, because the work is shared between taper, second and bottoming tap.
