Round dies and hexagon die nuts for R, Rp, PF and PT pipe threads
R is tapered and seals in the thread, Rp is parallel and seals against a face. PF and PT are the Japanese equivalents. Anyone re-cutting a fitting has to know which of the two it is. Dies cut external threads on bolts, rods and pipes. The round die sits in a die holder; the hexagon die nut is turned with an open-ended spanner and therefore also works during assembly.
