Round dies and hexagon die nuts for UNF, Unified fine thread
UNF has more threads per inch than UNC at the same diameter. It carries better in thin-walled parts and holds preload under vibration — common in automotive and aerospace work. Dies cut external threads on bolts, rods and pipes. The round die sits in a die holder; the hexagon die nut is turned with an open-ended spanner and therefore also works during assembly.
