Short machine taps for G pipe thread (BSP)
G is the parallel British pipe thread. It does not seal in the thread itself but through a gasket on the seating face, which is why diameter and pitch stay the same over the whole length. A short machine tap produces the finished thread in one pass. It replaces the three-piece set wherever speed matters, and works by hand as well as in the machine.
VÖLKEL offers 16 versions to DIN 5157, in HSS-G, from G 1/8 x 28 to G 4" x 11. The lead is in form D.
