Short machine taps for NPS, parallel pipe thread

NPS is the parallel American pipe thread. Unlike NPT it does not seal in the thread but needs a gasket on the seating face. A short machine tap produces the finished thread in one pass. It replaces the three-piece set wherever speed matters, and works by hand as well as in the machine.

VÖLKEL offers 20 versions in HSSE, from NPS 1/16 x 27 to NPS 2" x 11.5. The lead is in form C.
