Thread forming taps for tolerance class 6G
6G deliberately leaves clearance compared with the standard class 6H — for threads that are coated or galvanised after forming. A thread former does not cut — it presses the thread into the wall of the core hole without chips. Nothing is left in a blind hole that could jam later, and the grain structure is compacted.
