Short machine taps for NPTF, dryseal pipe thread
NPTF is the dryseal version of the American pipe thread. The flanks deform far enough as the joint is tightened that it holds without sealant. A short machine tap produces the finished thread in one pass. It replaces the three-piece set wherever speed matters, and works by hand as well as in the machine.
VÖLKEL offers 16 versions in HSSE, from NPTF 1/16 x 27 to NPTF 2" x 11.5. Lead forms B and C cover through holes and blind holes.
