Short machine taps for Rc, tapered pipe thread
Rc is the tapered internal thread of the British pipe thread system. The seal is made in the thread itself, because internal and external tapers wedge against each other. A short machine tap produces the finished thread in one pass. It replaces the three-piece set wherever speed matters, and works by hand as well as in the machine.
VÖLKEL offers 7 versions in HSS-G, from Rc 1/8 x 28 to Rc 1" x 11. The lead is in form C.
