Maschinengewindebohrer für BSW, Whitworth-Gewinde
Whitworth ist das älteste genormte Gewinde überhaupt und an britischen Maschinen, Oldtimern und Altanlagen bis heute anzutreffen. Der Flankenwinkel beträgt 55° statt der 60° des metrischen Gewindes, die Gewindespitzen sind abgerundet. Maschinengewindebohrer schneiden das Gewinde in einem Durchgang und laufen in der Bohrmaschine, im Bearbeitungszentrum oder im Gewindeschneidapparat.
VÖLKEL führt dafür 107 Ausführungen nach DIN 371, DIN 376 und ISO 529, aus HSS-G und HSSE, von BSW 1/8 x 40 bis BSW 2.1/2 x 4. Die Anschnittformen B und C decken Durchgangs- und Sacklöcher ab.
