1. Drilling: Identify the required thread size and use the corresponding HSS-G twist drill from the set to create the pilot hole.
2. Internal Threading: Use the 3-piece hand tap set (taper, second, and plug tap) in the appropriate tap wrench to cut the internal thread in stages.
3. External Threading: Secure the matching die in the die stock and apply even pressure to cut threads onto a bolt or rod.
4. Lubrication: Apply cutting oil continuously during the process to reduce heat and friction.
5. Inspection: Clean the finished thread and use the included gauges to verify the fit and accuracy.
6. Organization: Clean the tools after use and return them to their designated spots in the metal case to maintain the kit's completeness.

Why is HSS-G better than standard HSS?
HSS-G tools are precision-ground after hardening. This results in sharper cutting edges and better dimensional accuracy, which is essential for high-quality thread production.

What is the purpose of the VAP (Vaporization) treatment?
VAP creates an oxide layer on the tool's surface. This layer acts as a carrier for cutting oil, reducing friction and preventing the workpiece material from sticking (cold welding) to the tool.

Why are there three taps for each size?
These are hand taps. The set includes a taper tap (to start), a second tap (to deepen), and a plug tap (to finish). Using them in sequence ensures a precise thread with less effort and lower risk of tool breakage.

Can I use this set for machine tapping?
While these are hand taps, the high material quality allows for versatile use. However, for continuous machine use in through holes, we recommend using dedicated machine taps (Form B).
