With VÖLKEL into space: Supporting the student rocket project HyEnD

At VÖLKEL, quality, precision and progress have always been key values – and these are exactly what connect us to the student rocket project HyEnD (Hybrid Engine Development) at the University of Stuttgart.

We are proud to support these ambitious young scientists with high-quality thread cutting tools from VÖLKEL. Our specialized tools are used in critical threaded applications – for example, in structural components and engine parts that must meet the highest demands for strength and precision.

Our proven V-COIL thread insert system is also used in the project. It reinforces threads in softer materials, ensuring maximum durability and safety – a crucial factor under extreme loads and in aerospace environments.

Project “N₂ORTH 3”: Reaching for the world record with HyEnD

A highlight of this partnership is the new project “N₂ORTH 3”, which we will be actively supporting in the coming weeks and months. With a newly developed rocket, the HyEnD team aims to reach an altitude of up to 100 kilometers – a world record for student rockets.

The launch is planned for November this year – a milestone we are excited to follow.
